Sometimes I like to think that I’m pretty cool, until I realize that I’m actually just basic. I like Target and Starbucks just as much as the next girl.
We jumped on the soft sole baby shoe bandwagon for Colin, now three, when he was a few months old. My husband didn’t understand the hype at first, until he realized how much easier they were to put on in comparison to other baby shoes. He’s all about convenience over aesthetics, and I’m not. Basically, they were a win/win for both of us. By the time Colin was 18 months, we had basically given up on any other shoe.
I learned early with Graham. The kid still has far too many pairs of shoes, but at least they’re mostly practical.
I love to shop small, and I love adorable simplicity. My go-to stores for moccasins and soft soled shoes include:
Of course, I’ll be honest – I am a sucker for anything buffalo plaid. In fact, Graham’s first birthday party is going to be a lumberjack theme. I can’t contain my excitement.
If your last baby is turning one, at least he will do so in style. Excuse me while I cry.
